The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards

1.0

I read it twice. The first was a fast read and I found the book enjoyable. I was distracted by wanting to know how the story unfolded. The second time I read it for book club. This book should not be read to discuss. The writing is awful and there are no real literary devices used to bring out any sort of theme. Edwards uses photography and perspective to illustrate her ideas, but she comes right out and says what she wants the readers to get out of it. I would not recommend this to anyone I liked.
