The Sketch Book of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent. by Washington Irving

3.0

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Of course, the two most famous entries in this collection are "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." However, these two stories are pretty different from most of the rest of the book. It was worth a read nonetheless, but most of the rest of the book are descriptions of the titular, pseudononymous author's travels through England; many of the stories/essays are quite beautiful and poetic.
