This was a warm hug of a book! It delivers exactly what it promises, and it was better than I expected. I loved the Regency England setting mixed with faeries and magic, I loved Dora and Elias both separately and together, I loved their banter and sweet romance.
This was exactly what I needed. I was having a pretty shitty weekend, just rotting in bed and feeling not great, but forcing myself to sit down with this book for a bit was a great decision. I'm ending the day with a warm feeling in my chest and a better disposition for tomorrow. That says something about the story. It's not perfect, but it's a charming faerie tale that's very much worth the time.
