This series was such a delight to read. I read Legends first, so some of the plot twists weren't a shock to me. But a lot was still a surprise. I loved seeing how these characters developed over the series. I can see how reading them in Publication order is more enjoyable, but I think reading Legends first can heighten some enjoyment in this series. Knowing how things actually started and seeing how history got bastardized and altered to benefit a certain character was really interesting. I am very excited to read the rest of the series' set in this world now. And I do wonder if there will be more books set in the future because there is still a small thing that hasn't yet been resolved that was revealed in Legends. I guess I'll find out if it was at least addressed in the Rise and Fall series.
