The Magician by Michael Scott
3.0
review in progress. 3.4 stars. But like...where are their personalities?
PT: books in a series, books that have been on my TBR for too long, YA lit
WIL
1) the separation of siblings AKA the despair of growing up.
2) Paris!
3) Flamel as neutral good.
WIDL
1) Literally what is happening
2) Mary Sue but for like...everyone.
3) "just how far apart can I make the most significant plot points" - Michael Scott, throughout this entire series. I understand the separation of plot points, I really do. Scott's trying to fill a whole series. But my goodness, Josh only got awakened at the END of this. That's a LOT happening between Sophie and Josh's awakenings. Yes that does contribute to the sense of separation I guess, but it felt MAD drawn out.
Neutral ground:
1) Niccolo Machiavelli????????
