This is a coming of age story that follows a girl from 7 to 18 and the trials of her life growing up with a single mom and a father battling addiction. I really liked the climbing aspects of this book, as they were unexpected to me.

I liked this book but didn't LOVE it. No real complaints, just wasn't a five star read for me.
