Boring and pointless. Like a live-action remake missing the charm and soul of its source material. It was also awkward and cringey because Cabot was trying to replicate the tone of the original series while also portraying Mia as an adult with adult problems. Like that was going to work. I wish she either utilized every convention of the original series (namely Mia being an absolute satire of a character) or committed fully to writing an adult novel for an adult audience.
