Overview: Growing up, Darcy was picked on and bullied for being different. Not just by other kids, but by her adoptive father as well. He would call her names and lock her in a dark closet for things she couldn't control or understand. Now she is running the family funeral parlor and burying her loving adoptive mother, when a strange man with feminine features and odd green eyes appears stating he is there for her. Something in her, tells her to run and she does; the man disappears as her cousin arrives to help but once he is gone she laughs it off. Until a few nights later when she is attacked by superhuman men and being called a witch. Yet another man appears and saves her...then kidnaps her to save his sister. Axel, is a member of Wing Slayer hunters, a breed of men picked by a half-god to protect the good witches. and he needs a good witch. A bad witch has cursed his baby sister and Darcy is the only one who can save her, problem is she doesn't know she is a witch. She just knows about certain things she can do and thinks she is evil because of them. While trying to come to an understanding, and save the little girl before it is too late, more buried secrets from Darcy's past are revealed complicating their mission. On top of a curse to the Wing Slayers, that forces them to kill any witch (good or bad) they come in contact with and lose their soul in the process.

Opinion: It is awesome! The action starts right from page one and keeps you going. It is well written and full of impact. The only thing that threw me off was the name of the witch hunter group. I understand the half-god's name is Wing Slayer, but to make the name sound like they go around killing angels instead of witches is a bit off putting, but do able. A couple of plot holes, but nothing too big to worry about and never a dull moment.
