Stephanie’s writing is so gorgeous- I don’t think there’s an author out there I would love to see more on the screen! Her scenes are so vivid and lush, the mental movie playing in my head is awesome. Even though I’ve been slowly breaking up with YA, I’ll still come back to her books because the writing is SO good.

The first half of the book was a little slow for me, pacing wise, but I really enjoyed the back stories we were getting. Jacks is one of the best morally gray characters I’ve read, and the roller coaster of my emotions for him gave me whip lash. The twists at the end made perfect sense but I didn’t seem them coming.

That being said, this book was comfortably YA. I would give this to a preteen with no worries. It almost felt a little young? If she ever writes a NA or adult book/novella chapter about Jacks I’d preorder on the spot.
