Fascinating story idea. The setting is post-apocalyptic Las Vegas where human and animal have merged to evolve into Fae. I enjoyed the read but also found that it lagged in places. I kept wanting more. There would be a great moment and then several pages of not much but environment descriptions or internal dialogue that didn’t add anything to the story. I also got a little annoyed at how often the MMC would tell the FMC her behavior was rude by Fae standards but also never educate her so she could possibly avoid it. It seemed like an excuse for a dramatic moment on more than one occasion. Regardless it was a fun, inventive read and I am starting the book in the series.
