Killing Me Softly by Guy Hale
5.0
I absolutely love all the dark humour in this and the unique plot. It's a thrilling tale of macabre crimes, fate, naivety, and how to accidentally become a successful serial killer and famous rockstar.
Jimmy is an entertainingly flawed character, but he's found his niche in life and decides to roll with it. With some poltergeist assistance and some dumb luck, he's able to fulfil his obligations to make new songs with his newfound murderous hobby, and at the same time managing to avoid death by gangster and corrupt police too.
Wendy is hilarious, I loved her easygoing attitude of being dead, and her ambitious plans to help Jimmy rise to fame, and Kid is a great character too and a creative accomplice.
This is a quirky and fun read that has you rooting for the anti-hero!
Jumping straight into book 2 and seeing what danger Jimmy will find next.
