The way Sierra wrote about depression is so beautiful and so precise. It will be triggering to many but Aiden’s thoughts and feelings throughout this book are so powerful and important for others who have never dealt with depression to understand. The way Elijah loves Aiden in all his ways, in the changes, in the good and bad - especially as he was so hurt because he did not know what Aiden was hidden until the end of this book - is the most power way some who has depression needs to be loved. Yes it’s still that taboo, religious world of the Bell brothers but this one as it was similar to “Priest” of a brother seeking God for healing it was to heal depression more than his grief which I think the wrestling with faith, love, happiness, and loneliness is even more relatable with Aiden than his brother.
