Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
5.0
This book took me a while to start, not because of any reason apart from my own tiredness from academic reading putting me off reading for fun; however, when I started reading I couldn't stop.
It was the usual roller coaster ride of ups and downs, of tears and laughter. There was a wide dynamic of characters - those you loved, those you hated and those that had absolutely fantastic character development.
Nothing was obvious, I was surprised a lot of the way through.
One comment would be the length; however, I did not find myself bored at all.
The ending tore my heart out in true Cassandra Clare fashion and I cannot wait for the next one.
