Initial thoughts - this was really enjoyable, it’s slower than I was expecting, love the characters we met along the way, the political aspects had me intrigued surprisingly, I wish the magical elements were a bit more fleshed out. I’m super hopefully for book 2, I hear it’s the best in this trilogy!!!

⚠️- there’s alot more explicit abuse than I was expecting, I think Ch 21 was ROUGH!!!!
