I absolutely adore everything Lynn Painter does and writes and this reread of Better Than the Movies was no exception. What a stunningly adorable story. Wes and Liz are just the cutest. A simp MMC who does everything in his power to help the FMC find love? And she ends up realizing she wanted him all along? 5⭐️. Immediately.
Wes and Liz are perfect. And we don’t deserve their cuteness. I’m actually scared to read the sequel because I know they break up for a hot damn second, but like I just know these two angels are endgame. From him clocking her tea re: her mother’s death to her being brave and putting herself out there at the end (only to be met with a deep love that had been built over many years), this story has it all, and in spades.
Delicious, frothy milkshake fun. 10/10.
