Loved it. It has such a unique approach to a hero x villain storyline and has such a nuanced discussion on morality. The character work in this was SO GOOD imo despite the fact that the book is mostly focused on the plot. Would’ve loved to see a deeper exploration into the side characters they appeared shallow next to Victor and Eli but I guess that’s to be expected because they’re just side characters after all. 

I was obsessed with Victor… especially with his interactions with Mitch, Sydney and Dol. Such an unconventionally adorable found family 😭

I will definitely be checking out more of the author’s work because the writing style was amazing. I normally don’t like books that jump back and forth between flashbacks and the present but this was done so well and it wasn’t jarring at all.
