Murder by the Book by Lauren Elliott
5.0
Great Cozy Mystery
Addie has just moved to a small seaside town looking to start over. She is leaving the past and some painful memories behind, including the unsolved murder of her finance and the untimely death of her father.
She decided she is going to open her very own bookshop. The only bookshop in Greyborne. She has inherited the Greyborne manor after her aunt had passed. With the estate her aunt also left her many valuable books.
Addie loves books, so much so that she spent her career with rare books at the Boston Public Library before eventually moving on. She even had some chances to investigate and track down mysterious old volumes.
Little did Addie know that her fresh start would soon require her to use those investigative skills when strange happenings start occurring around her. From break ins, attacks, weird occurrences, the wrongful arrest of her only friend in town, and murder Addie is starting to wonder if everything is connected. Addie works closely with the police Chief and isn’t letting them solve this case without her help.
This read was a super cozy mystery with lots of angles to the case leaving you wondering who’s involved and how its all connected. I really enjoyed this read!
