Take your normal haunted woods story and turn it on it's head and you'll get this book. Instead of just being hunted by mysterious entities, at night, humans are just watched. Never interacted with, just observed with one way mirror glass. 

The author does a fantastical job as creating a hopeless, depressing atmosphere, with serveral twists and turns. Great pacing, character development, and subtle fear make this a 5/5 book for me.
