The writing is a bit blunt and to the point, but I suppose that's the appeal. There is little fluff and it gets straight to point of the story, quickly resolving the problems, but in such a way that it does leave one on edge. There is no long drawn out internal monologues but maybe that's for the best. I enjoyed this books very much.
