I actually really loved the little details of the other Gallant and the shadow world and I think that someone who, in my opinion, thrives on writing villains probably should've spent more time on the other side of the wall. I love Olivia as a main character but I think she wasn't enough of a hero to be the perceived hero of this story. Tell me more about Death's shadows. The story of Olivia's parents might have been waaaaaay more interesting in this world. Still enjoyed this though, couldn't put it down.
