Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eames
5.0
This book, like its predecessor, will kick your ass. You'll laugh out loud, you'll find yourself saying, "Whoa, that was cool," you'll fall in love with characters, you'll hate characters (because they are loathsome, not because they are poorly written), and you'll probably even tear up a bit. It is an amazing adventure with moments that feel straight like a Mass Effect sidequest, only fantasy, so maybe Dragon Age is a better comparison.
The change in perspective of the main character in this book to the main character in the last book is awesome. Whereas the first book was the old guard begrudgingly be dragged back into the fray, this character is a newbie who accidentally finds herself in the next big band.
