I think I had something against the author and some of the writing that I didn't let myself become fully invested but I surprised myself by actually shedding some tears for Emma and Gabriel. I suppose from the start Emma was a character that I felt connected too which was nice. However I don't think Kate was given much depth to begin with other than caring for her siblings and Michael was just annoying. But it was good overall, moved quickly, I found myself wishing it to fleshed out more, I felt alot of easier writing routes were taken. But yes, enjoyable.
