Pulp sci-fi chock full of contemporary nerd culture references?! Hell yes!
At first, I thought the writing was a little amateurish - giving off wattpad-esque fan-fiction vibes. But it started growing on me and it honestly kinda makes sense, given that it is stream-of-consciousness writing. Yet, it moves fast. Very fast. I recommend. But go watch Star Trek, Star Wars, Alien, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate and Babylon 5 before reading. I mean, it's not really necessary you watch them before reading, but it helps a lot. And that list is a bunch of very good sci-fi.
