The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
5.0
I love how beautifully the narrator speaks in this book. I also love the fact that the narrator is Death - how appropriate for a story set during World War II! It's great that Death stomps on the stereotypes of how he's typically portrayed.
This book is just exquisitely written. It really makes you feel for every character, including Death. There are so many quotes that can be taken from this book - I have several pages of my copy marked.
I'm not huge into rereading books, because usually once I know what happens, I have a hard time concentrating on it a second time. When I first finished this book, however, I immediately turned back to the first page and started to read it again. AMAZING!
