I'm with Shane on this one. Why do these people just expect him to be okay with suddenly being saddled with his father's kid who he doesn't have a relationship with?

Especially Carly. Why the hell can't she give him compassion and try to understand what he's struggling with instead of just judging him to be an asshole?
