What an odd book. One of those that feels incredibly surreal and dream-like all the way through, its meaning remaining just beyond grasp. I never did quite grasp it, and that was somewhat frustrating. I read the illustrated version (Elise Hurst) and really enjoyed the illustrations, though. A beautiful book. Just really strange.

Child abuse. Mention of a woman being naked, but nothing is described beyond that. Main character’s dad has an affair.
