Holy. Shit.
I'd been warned this book would emotionally wreck me. I wasn't warned at the scale at which I'd be wrecked. I also wasn't told how I'd feel like basically a different person after reading this book.
The world building, the character development, the emotional toll you experience, the absolute highs and the most desolate lows, all while trying to comprehend that so much of this story is not as far from fiction as we'd like to wish it was.
This has immediately gone into probably my top 3 all time favorites.
Time to see what book 2 has in store for me.
