I had to say it took me a bit to kind of get the line of the story. I was pulled into it immediately, but I was quite confused at first with all the POV characters and them seemingly have no connections to one another. It was a mystery to figure out that I partially loved and partially didn't, as I'm usually quite a fan of books that are a bit more predictable. How the stories started to intertwine however was absolutely awesome and I wouldn't change the book for it.

One thing I really loved was all the worldbuilding this book had. It really felt like it was a story set in a vast world with many cultures and things going on, while it was never overwhelmingly big. It had a really good balance in how much to tell up front and what to share through the characters experiencing it. The world itself was also a lot of fun with many aspects that I really loved.

This book was also pretty dark and felt quite intense at points. Those things pulled me right in though and made me want to know more and more about what was going on. The book also right up starts with an intense scene and that really sets a good example on how the rest of the book feels like.

I also want to say that the character interactions were really done well and I greatly enjoyed the times when POV characters would be around each other. To see them interact made me hope for all of them to understand one another as I tend to be that person rooting everyone to be friends. Of course that doesn't always happen but those interactions still left me feeling pretty full of feelings.

Altogether this was a book I greatly enjoyed and I'm excited to read the next one soon.
