Deep End by Ali Hazelwood
3.25
It was an enjoyable read in the sense that for me the story felt compelling and I wanted to keep reading.
In my opinion the smut was poorly written, which is difficult when half the selling point of this book is the fact it’s an exploration of BDSM, so like, those scenes need to be successful, and they weren’t, sorry.
I enjoyed reading about diving, and the characters being competitive athletes, and the brief sweeps of them having clever STEM brains.
I laughed out loud at times, Ali Hazelwood does funny really well. And there were times that were very cute, as well as some decently developed side characters.
But overall the whole plot line just kinda felt a bit icky because of the secrecy and the love triangle/other woman thing, which just all felt a bit unnecessary idk.
