Much like A Man Called Ove — this novel explores life, death, grief, and being “different”. There’s a feeling of magical realism as Elsa, our protagonist, unravels Granny’s fairytales and “secret” world only to find herself (and the community of characters) finding comfort and healing through the power of telling their stories. I loved the way the ending ties everyone’s stories together <3
