The smut was too much. If you took out all of the horniness in this book it would be half as long. I'm all for a good sex scene but to have it be literally constant was so heavy. Nesta's story is great and seeing why and how she is who she is, is great. I wish it had been more focused on that. Also, I wish we hadn't seen feyre's pregnancy and childbirth through the lens of someone who has been such a ruthless asshole and so mean the entire time. It would've made more sense to put the baby plot into frost and starlight and made that one longer, rather than having it happen in silver flames and make the whole thing about nesta, instead of the two people who have been the MCs in every book up until then, who were going through one of the most important moments of their lives. We should've had that through feysand's pov and it should've been about them. Nesta should not have been the center of attention during Nyx's birth. Definitely my least favorite SJM moment.
Overall another good SJM book but I wish the focus hadn't felt like it was mainly sex. Nesta had some wonderful moments of growth and self-acceptance that were overshadowed by the smut. Still loved the book but it's probably my least favorite acotar so far.
