I was so looking forward to an updated Spider-Man. Growing up, he was my favorite comic book superhero, but you can only revisit the same backstory so many times before you want something more. I was hoping Miles would be it. The bad guy was definitely lacking in this. Sort of like whenever Spidey would face Mysterio. Too much mind control or ethereal stuff makes it to hard to really see what’s going on.

Not to say I won’t read more Jason Reynolds or more Miles, just this book didn’t do it for me.
