I’m so mad at myself for letting this book sit on my shelf since November. I’ve never rated a book 5⭐️so quickly in my life. Normally I sit and think on it for a little, but this was absolutely incredible.
Yadriel wants to not only be accepted by his family as a boy, but also as a brujo. His journey to acceptance, self-discovery, love, and strength was emotional and heartbreaking, but so full of hope. Julian is brooding and guarded, yet so fiercely loyal. Yadriel and Julian’s story filled my cold little heart with so much warmth and joy.
This was a little slow at times, but I was having such a good time with Yadriel and Julian that I didn’t even care.
This story was beautiful. Please go read it.
