This book was quite outside my comfort zone, more the very radical theme is just not something I’m naturally drawn to for leisure reading but Zoboi made it happen!!! I will say this book is not for everybody and with that it should be for everybody. I absolutely loved Zoboi’s writing and really pushing for change and deep conversation. Although fiction I can definitely see some truth within certain communities, fighting for their truth or fighting for their future and their right to take up space in a world that is against them. But also watching Nigeria, who grew up in this space and only knows this space and these foundations, stand up for herself and push back and not take anything just because. She questions things and uses her own mind to create her opinions. I’ll definitely be reading more of Zoboi’s backlist
