I felt like this memoir was a coming out story. First he came out as gay and then later one as trans. There was a mixture of background thrown in and whole lot about his relationships and boy did he have a lot lol it felt like he talked spent half the book talking about the trauma he went through coming out and then the other half giving us explicit details of his past relationships. I really could have done without the through relationship history. I could honestly care less about that.
I wanted to learn more about his time as actor and how that affected his time as a gay and then trans person. That’s interesting! And that’s what I thought this would be about but was sadly disappointed. Also I thought it would be great hearing the author narrate this but I think it honestly did a disservice to the audiobook. His voice was so monotone and he kind of sounded like he hated his life until the end when he goes through his acknowledgements 😂
I just really thought this would be a more informative memoir but I feel like I got nothing out of it except minuscule mildly interesting details about his life. I also learned about the Halifax explosion that I did not know before reading this was the biggest man-made explosion before the atomic bomb. WILD
