ML is single dad who is having a hard time raising his daughter, FL has been the shoulder he cries on and relies on for 6 years. she loves him and he love her but they can’t be together bc he built walls around himself to keep him safe after his daughters mom left or died idk. i stoped this book tho bc he is not great with his daughter, he relies too much on his neighbor (FL) and she keeps letting him walk all over her, she finally says she can’t do this anymore (1/2 because she is in love with him and is getting nothing in return and 1/2 bc he dosnt know how to take care of her on his own). she is getting walked all over and i’m sure they repair it later but i don’t think he should have done it in the first place, it’s like a second chance romance. i just feel bad for the FL.
