The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay

The prose is fine but nothing special. The tense and pov get confusing and twisted toward the end. Maybe that's the point but I was so irritated and uninspired with 2 hrs left that I just wanted it over.

The narrator is also slow and  irritating. She's fine for description or the female character's dialog but any time a male character spoke she lowered her voice and slowed down even further.  It sounded stupid and thus made all the characters sound stupid.

Hate. Do not recommend.
