I feel like this book's rating was all about expectations. I see plenty of previous reviews where it received 1-2 stars, and i just have to wonder what the readers expected when they picked it up. I wanted something brainless that I could demolish in one sitting, and that's exactly what I got. I certainly rolled my eyes more than once, but I also caught myself being curious to see where the plot was headed. All in all, 2.5, but I'll be nice and round up.
