Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson

This was a delight!! I normally don’t like YA and fade-to-black, and while I would have loved this with spice, it served its purpose!

We LOVE an enemies-to-lovers which starts with the enemies literally shackled together and having to walk like 100 miles to get somewhere safe. Kazi works for the queen’s guard, Jase is the new leader of the Ballenger empire.

I wish I had written this review right after finishing instead of 5 days later because I’m kind of fuzzy on some of the details I loved. I’m glad that Jase and Kazi expressed their feelings at the end, and I’m excited to see where they go in book 2 since Kazi’s queen is sending her back with Jase as his emissary and they get to continue to be together! WHAT WILL THE DRAMA BE?!?!
