Setterfield writes with a great deal of skill and with a clear love of the written word. I will admit that it was mostly her writing that kept me going through most of this book because I wasn’t as interested in the stories of the characters. That is until we got to the twist towards the end of the book that made everything else click so nicely. Then I had to get to the end to discover the mystery in its entirety. And Setterfield does a great job of mixing the stories and jumping from time to time to keep you wondering and coming back for more.
