This is a delightful alien-human romance with a strong and resilient MFC and a grumpy but lovable cinnamon-roll MMC. I absolutely fell in love with Susan and Olix and their adorable attempts to understand one another. This is a complete standalone, but it looks like there are other titles within the Prime Mating Agency series that I am now going to have to hunt down. I really enjoyed this author’s writing style, and their world-building was top notch. I did take points off because the ending felt rushed and there was a lot of repetitive phrases like, “my man” and “my mate.” All in all, it was great! Spicy, sweet, and lighthearted (despite some serious topics). Some quick tropes include: alien grump and intelligent yet innocent human woman, arranged marriage/marriage of convenience, culture differences, sci-fi tech mentioned etc.
Graphic: Sexual content
Minor: Cursing, Slavery, Pregnancy, and Colonisation
Please check trigger warnings! This is a rather lighthearted alien romance; however, some serious subjects are included, such as: brief, historical mention of slavery and slavery revolt of alien civilization, sexual content, brief mention of pregnancy and child birth at the end etc.
