I thought this was very mid for the most part. I was curious to see where the story was gonna go and what the characters arcs were gonna be like, but I wasn't as thoroughly invested as I wanted to be, given that I was very interested in the band's dynamics. But by the time I'd reached the last quarter of the book, I realized just how subtly this story took hold of my heart. And owing to the many touching and powerful parts towards the end, I ended up liking this quite a bit.
