My Feral Romance ✨ 5/5 stars 🌶️ 3/5 chili peppers

Thank you to the author for providing me with an advance copy of this book.

I read an advance copy of the first book in this series (A Rivalry of Hearts) and I absolutely loved, so I am super thankful to be back with another advance copy for My Feral Romance. I love Odette’s books (please do yourself a favor and check them out) so I had high expectations but this was somehow BETTER than what I expected.

The characters!
I did not love Monty and Daphne when we first meet them in A Dream So Wicked and A Rivalry of Hearts originally BUT experiencing their point of view has really made me love them! Monty has so much heart under his arrogant facade and Daphne is a delightful mix of charming, shy, and feral (trust me here; that will make sense once you get to meet her!)

The romance!
Look, I wasn’t sure whether I could ship these two after A Rivalry of Hearts (iykyk) but I was positively surprised by how swoon-worthy their romance turned out to be and how much I enjoyed seeing them being feral together! There are some spicy scenes throughout that worked well and stood in support of the main relationship and plot progression - the perfect balance in my opinion.

The setting!
It should be no secret that Faerwyvae is my favorite fictional world out there. I love the combination between fae magic and modern technology. This novel also has some themes that feel very important in the current political climate (this is relevant towards the end of the novel, so I won’t spoil it here), and that really resonated with me. Spending some extra time in the Earthen Court was really fun, and the carnival scene was such a lovely addition.
