Another book club entry. I enjoyed the epistolic nature of the writing, but felt like the final reveal was a bit out of left field, like I would not have pinpointed that character and that motivation. Also, this is apparently part of a series focused on the detective, but I found her to be a boring and somewhat inconsistent character (lesbian but seems to have a bad attitude about all the other women in the story), and I don't think I want to read more about her. Give me more about Claire and her writing and amateur sleuthing.
