Wasn’t I surprised by this! I loved Mortal Engines #2 much more than the first book - maybe the movie had it spoiled for me, or maybe the second book does have better character development and more, amazingly imaginative details about the steampunk world of traction cities. Descriptions so vivid it made you wanna stop and sketch them down. And Hester and Freya, what an amazing female characters duo 😍. Happy I didn’t trust reviews on this one. Down with book #3 now ~
