(Actual: 3.5⭐) Technically about one man’s global search for an elusive & enigmatic author who has the ability to write in multiple languages, this felt moreso like a set of interconnected essays. My interpretation of it all was that— it felt like I was listening in on people discuss/muse/debate the origins of inspiration, language, travel, & writing, and how they help us bridge connections to others (albeit in a very absurdist/abstract way). And while this read won’t be for everyone, I still found it to be very ambitious, both in its overall concept & in its unique execution— I think one could revisit it multiple times and still be able to zero in on something new to digest/ponder.
