Oh my god this book was everything that I wanted and all that I didn’t know I needed from the realm of his dark materials. I am so pleased with the growth in the complexity of Lyra’s character, seeing her wrestle with not always being the perfect golden child and still managing to come out on top is really amazing. More Alice? Just what I wanted, it makes so much sense for her to be who she is. Also Malcolm is awesome, I’ll marry that man if Lyra doesn’t. Anyways can he release the next volume already I might die.
