Dark gothic paranormal romance? A chosen one? A little bit of blasphemy? Well, this book had every single thing I have always dreamed of.

Resume w/o spoilers:
Keira, 23 years old, moves from UK to US with her sister, but her past caught up, it’s been made clear since the beginning she’s the Chosen One, but Chosen One of what exactly? Very dark things start to happen, again! But she meets Dom, your basic local rich bad boy which he’s not what everyone think he is. Dark creatures, paranormal romance and an unavoidable fate.

I wish I could say more about the creatures in this contemporary world BUT that will spoil it, so the only thing I can say is have in mind Gothic paranormal, if that makes sense. The cheesy parts were perfect, the plot is amazing, this is not your regular paranormal book.

Romance: Soul mates trope. Some qualify this spicer than ACOMAF from Sarah J Maas but not really, it just has more smutty scenes though.

Plot: AWESOME! At first I had no idea what was happening, the first part of the book gaslighted me a lot lol. And whenever I thought I had the grasp on things there was a plot twist in the way. I cried more than half a dozen times. This is definitely nothing like I’ve read before, but somehow it manages to have of the corny things I love in a book.

Note: There are 3 things to take in consideration: first, this book has some things that didn’t age well, but spare it some slack as it’s still awesome. Second, check the trigger warnings. Third, even it had some dark stuff it’s not that explicit which I’m not sure if I liked it or not.

AGAIN, please check the trigger warnings.
