Orfeia by Joanne M. Harris

3.0

I picked this up at the library without any other reason than it had a really pretty shiny gold design on the cover. I started to read it but couldn't get far at first because reading about a mother who lost her daughter was too hard after another school shooting. Eventually I picked it up again, thank you for long library loans, and liked it ok. It reminded me a little of [b:The Starless Sea|43575115|The Starless Sea|Erin Morgenstern|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1617715077l/43575115._SY75_.jpg|66444785] even though they weren't much alike, because of the way I got a little lost in the layers of the world.
