This books is absolutely gorgeously written. Zafon seriously knows how to write and the translator knows how to translate. Ultimately, I wasn't too drawn in by our main characters or the mystery but I am still floored at the writing, world building, and atmospheric horror elements of this read. If you're looking for a spooky mystery, this is a solid choice
